Lecture -Anatomy & Proper Shoeing

Horsemanship

Basic Hoof Trimming

Forging

Horseshoeing

Field Trip

7 hrs.

This session is recommended for those students interested in trimming and shoeing their own horses with factory made shoes. This session involves learning basic anatomy, conformational defects, faulty gaits, and proper shoeing techniques. The instructors will teach proper horse handling, trimming, and various shoe modifications. Students will also learn to help correct common conformation defects and common gait problems.

Students are responsible for all assignments and homework.
All tools will be furnished for students.


                   Total number of hours in course: 150 hours.

Hours in session: Monday through Friday
 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The school shop is opened after regular school hours to allow students to perfect their skills.

Upon successful completion of the
 Four Week Session students will receive a certificate.

The cost of tuition for the Four Week Session is $2750.00.
The price of the text book is $150.00.
Housing is offered in the school dorm for $200.00

Deposit required on housing/tuition is $150.00.

All tools and supplies needed can be purchased through Midwest Horseshoeing School at any point during the session or before leaving the school at a discounted price.
