This session is recommended for those students interested in trimming and shoeing their own horses. Students will learn the basics of shoeing with factory made shoes. This session includes learning intermediate anatomy, conformational defects, gait faults, and proper shoeing techniques to provide balance and support.
This session is recommended for those students interested in a part time shoeing career. It continues on from the skills taught in the previous sessions and an introduction to corrective and therapeutic shoeing.
This session is recommended for students who are wanting to become professional farriers. It continues on from the skills taught in the six week session expanding deeper into learning more about corrective and therapeutic shoeing.
This session is designed to introduce the students to some real world experience outside the school. As well as an intense preparation for the CF (Certified Farrier) exam through the AFA.
Upon successful completion of the 16 Week Session students will receive a diploma and with enough personal effort and dedication they will be well prepared to take the AFA Certification.

Hand tools, a workbench, a forge, and an anvil will be assigned to each student for personal use throughout the term of the session. There is no charge for using the tools.*
* Lost or stolen tools will need to be replaced by the student.
