Should you choose to attend Midwest Horseshoeing School you will learn through a carefully structured combination of lecture, laboratory, and practical experience the proper use of all blacksmithing tools and equipment, forging techniques, and the correct methods of shoeing a horse.

This includes hot shoeing, corrective shoeing as well as an introduction to and understanding of cold shoeing. As a student, you will also learn how to maintain your own tools, how to set up your equipment, and examine successful ways to set up your own business.

Midwest Horseshoeing School is approved by Workforce Investment Act, Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, Veteran’s Administration, and Certificate of approval to Operate issued by the Illinois State of Education, 100 N. First Street, Springfield, IL 62777

Bring your horse along!!

Students attending Midwest Horseshoeing School are now able to bring their horse while attending school.

After a two week isolation period, the cost is $40.00 per week for  pasture boarding.
