INTERMEDIATE SIX WEEK SESSION |
|
This session is recommended for those students interested in a part time shoeing program. Students will learn to shoe horses with factory made shoes as well as hand made shoes. This session includes learning intermediate anatomy, conformational defects, faulty gaits, and proper shoeing techniques. The instructors will teach proper horse handling, trimming, squaring toes, making flat shoes, bar shoes, clips, heel caulks, trailers, forge brazing and welding, and using pads. Students will also learn to help correct conformational defects and gait problems with corrective shoes. |

· Hours in session: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. · Upon successful completion of the Six Week Session students will receive a certificate. |
