Midwest Horseshoeing School

This session is recommended for those students interested in trimming and shoeing their own horses with factory made shoes. This session includes learning beginning anatomy, conformational defects, faulty gaits, and proper shoeing techniques. The instructors will also teach basic forging, trimming, shaping, nailing and proper horse handling.

BEGINNING TWO WEEK SESSION

This session is recommended for those students interested in trimming and shoeing their own horses with factory made shoes as well as hand made shoes. This session involves learning basic anatomy, conformational defects, faulty gaits, and proper shoeing techniques.

BASIC FOUR WEEK SESSION

This session is recommended for those students interested in a part time shoeing program. Students will learn to shoe horses with factory made shoes as well as hand made shoes. This session includes learning intermediate anatomy, conformational defects, faulty gaits, and proper shoeing techniques.

INTERMEDIATE SIX WEEK SESSION

This session is recommended for students who are wanting to become professional farriers. It continues on from the skills taught in the six week session expanding into learning more corrective and pathological shoeing.
